A Day of Nature, History, and Agriculture!
Come and explore our New Urban Agriculture Centre at our 71 acre facility, just minutes from Edmonton, Leduc, and surrounding areas in Leduc County. Enjoy being surrounded by a unique combination of urban and rural agriculture that offers something for everyone!
What to See and Do:
- Artistic Welcome: Admire the vibrant community-painted murals at our gates as you arrive.
- Urban Agriculture Centre (UAC) Exploration: Disembark at our 2-acre Urban Agriculture Centre and immerse yourself in a world of hands-on learning and relaxation:
- Nature Crafts & Games: Participate in engaging nature-based crafts and activities
- BBQ: Burgers, sausages, hotdogs and more!
- Explore the UAC: Discover our food forest, passive solar greenhouse with a tool library, school demonstration garden, and 104 community garden plots. Take self-guided or guided tour. Guided tour at 2:30 pm
- Water Features: Learn about our 2-acre pond and wetland area, which supports a rich diversity of wildlife and insects while also providing vital water for our gardens.
- Lemonade Stand Competition 12-3pm
- Support Local:
- Purchase local soil amendments made by Annelida Soil Solutions, worm and soil experts.
- Build capacity in your soil with Bio Char from Bio Blends Inc.
- Buy a beautiful native flower from BADAS to enhance habitat in your own backyard or as a gift for a friend
