Eighteen Recipients of our Lifetime Achievement ('The Hubie') Award to 2012
Each year, the Board considers exceptional examples of long-term, sustained contributions that have been instrumental in moving our Ag Society forward. In 2009, to recognize the exceptional service not only to our Ag Society but throughout our District, the Gerry Patsula Community Gardens were dedicated in his memory and honour. Also that year, our first Lifetime Members were announced:Lorie Goudreau, Raven Anaka, Rosaire Tessier, Mickey Johnston, Bruce Walker, and Harry Zuzak. In 2010, Loretta Martin and Robert (Bob) Black joined this distinguished group. In 2011, Newbie Hubies are Kim LaChappelle and Don Schiewe (our first wife and husband team), Sandee Horneman and Gary Abraham. In 2012, these fine folks welcomed Bill Ostapek, John Bryson, Linda Robinson, Debbie Nyman and Jim Hiley. You won't find a better bunch of volunteers that these folks!
Why join BADAS and volunteer with us?

There's ONE message we hope you gain from your visit to our website: We walk the talk in terms of our commitment to community development. To that end, BADAS donates thousands of hours each year to activities in our District and Alberta's Capital Region. It feels fanastic to see these efforts enjoyed by thousands of people! If you're the kind of person who likes working with very effective volunteers to make huge improvements in our communities, then consider sharing your talents to BADAS. Let's work together!
The BADAS 'Volunteer of the Year' Award in 2012 goes to ... 'You'!?

As BADAS is a very active contributor to the development of our District through hosting and supporting agriculturual, recreational and cultural opportunities, there's always room for one more dedicated volunteer. Take a moment to send us an email if you, too, would like to make real contriutions to improving the quality of life in eastern Leduc County, Beaumont and surrounding communities!

Support from our Municipal and Provincial Political Representatives

The Society has always enjoyed strong relationships with our political representatives, currently: John Schonewille, County Councillor; John Stewart, Beaumont Town Councillor and George Rogers, MLA for Leduc-Beaumont-Devon. These people are just fine in our books for the work they do and the classy way they do it!

Suggestions, comments and back-slappers

Life is not perfect and neither is BADAS. We'll catch on to your suggestions quicker if you show us how well they work in the real world of volunteering. AND, we'll learn faster if you make it fun!
